Project 1 Description
Most children today have a lack of exposure to where their food comes from. This gap in education has led, and will continue to lead, to generations of consumers that only continue to reinforce the negative impacts of our current food system. Back Yard Farm is a subscription box service that curates and delivers engaging experiment kits to children with categories focused on the food cycle. Each kit includes new equipment, helpful and intuitive worksheets, and many extensions that gamify the user experience to elongate user interaction with the brand.
Project 2 Description
The Fila portable air quality monitor is a device aimed at giving young, elementary school children more independence when it comes to their asthma. Not only does this product give them more knowledge and power surrounding their daily battle with asthma, but it also serves as a way to give parents peace of mind as their child gains this new independence. There are many features that are user-centered for both the parent and child. The product’s simple interface helps notify the child easily, and the companion app allows parents to input all of their child’s information to ensure their safety.
Project 3 Description
How can I help bring more attention to coral to a younger generation while still providing them with proper development content? Fisher Price is the ideal brand because of their reputation in the industry as recognizable and trustworthy to parents. These three toys are each marketed to a different age group of children and help challenge them in their development while introducing and cultivating relationships with different types of coral and the oceans ecosystem as a whole. The toys all provide opportunities to level up with the child and foster imaginative play guided through the themes of coral.
