Project 1 Description
Although jack stands are generally considered the last safety measure in securing a raised vehicle, they can still fail. Atlas is the solution to this gap in safety precautions. With a robust body and organization system, it will ultimately enhance users’ experience and ease of mind by ensuring their safety while working underneath a vehicle.
Project 2 Description
Atlas is meant to be placed underneath the vehicle's chassis or jack-point after the vehicle has been raised on jack stands. It is designed to essentially "catch" the vehicle in the event of it falling or slipping of the user's jack stand(s) or if the jack stand(s) fail. Atlas can withstand the drop of a 10,000lb object, more than twice an average car's weight. This assurance of safety ultimately will increase the user's confidence when working underneath their vehicle.
Project 3 Description
Atlas also serves as an organization tool. There are "pegs" that can hold tools with loops/holes such as combination wrenches or adjustable wrenches, "slots" which can hold various tools such as socket wrenches, extensions, or even pliers, and "dishes" which can hold all sorts of hardware such as the usual nuts and bolts. Atlas also features a swivel base to allow for utilization of all four sides, and magnetic LED lights that can be placed anywhere on the metal body for maximum visibility.
